As many of you might have noticed I have been quite into my hair, how it grows, what to do to make it grow, and displaying it any chance I get. The reason behind this recent concentration on my tresses is because it is my current obsession. I don't know why but every once and awhile I will become completely consumed with a subject about me or the world in general. Earlier this year I wanted to to know everything about the Tudor dynasty. This did coincide with the cancellation of an awesome TV show called The Tudors but that family is very interesting without its own HBO series. Losing focus...back to my obsessions, along with being seemingly consumed with my hair, I also will add musical theater, tv, and apartment hunting as steady subjects constantly running through my mind on repeat.
To further prove my single-mindedness I have some exciting news. I am going au natural with my hair. That's right no more chemical relaxers. I don't know how long I will be transitioning but it should be an interesting part of me to learn about since I haven't seen my natural hair since age 7.
I am quite proud of the fact that I will be participating in my first Black Friday this week. Although it will be via my bed and laptop (haven't built up the courage to face those bargain hunting crazies quite yet.) but I am very excited to get in on the deals then go back to sleep. lol
Well, I can't think of anything else to share so til next time...
Have a Happy Turkey Day!!

Willy Nilly Postings
I am a self-proclaimed procrastinator and general putter-offer of important tasks. I do try to build a regular and steady schedule but every time I try I end up putting it off thus continuing the vicious cycle. When I began this blog I wanted to put up a post at least once a week or more. I, as you can see, have failed miserably but I am hoping to rectify this by forcing my self to be more disciplined. I have no idea how so I am open to suggestions.
In other news, I have attempted my first twist out. I have yet to take down the twists simply because I'm afraid it will be an epic fail, but when I do take them down I will be sure to post a pic no matter how embarrassing it may be. Depending on the outcome I think that I will hold off on doing another twist-out because my hair is only neck length so the shrinkage may be too much for my liking.
Finally, I am going to be handing out samples of my desserts at work later this week to build a bigger client base and hopefully get some orders. Again if you have any sugary sweet needs please don't hesitate to email me.
I guess I'm done with my random rants.
Til next time

New phases in life.
So the hubby and I went apartment shopping today and I must say that this was an enlightening experience. Coming from Mississippi where everything is about half the price of things hear in the Atlanta metro area, my mind was not quite ready for the what little bang my buck was making. However, this is just one more lesson in my adult life and will learn accordingly. We will be able to get the apt. that we liked the best it will just take a little time and saving. I am claiming this and I know it will work out. My job is going well so that is of course the first step in making some money.
On a very different note, I have recently become a follower of the blogger Mop Top Maven and she is my new inspiration for my hair journey. She and Corinne Bailey Ray have the natural hair pattern that I hope to have if and when I were to go natural. They have such beautiful hair and I hope that I would be able to embrace my own natural texture. I have been dabbling with the idea of transitioning to natural but I would not do a BC (big chop), I would just take out my relaxed texture in increments. I have had relaxed hair since about the 4th grade and since that time hair has been extremely damaged, thin, and fragile. I have tried countless hair styles and cuts from a wave nouveau (similar to a jheri curl) to countless braided styles. As some of you know I began my hair journey in October of this year and I have noticed many improvements like strength, shine and, less breakage. I have only been on the journey about 7 weeks but I have had almost an inch of growth which tells me my countless hours pouring over hairlista.com and other hair care sites is working. I have learned so much about healthy hair care and since watching MopTop's vids on YouTube I have also learned some new skin care tips that I am excited to try. Acne blemishes and breakouts have always bothered me and I really wanting to try OCM (oil cleansing method). My only problem is that I can't seem to find anywhere nearby that sells essential oils or even basic oils such as castor oil. I really don't want to order offline because of the wait and the extra cost of shipping but that may be what I have to do.
Anyways, that's all for now.
