New phases in life.

So the hubby and I went apartment shopping today and I must say that this was an enlightening experience. Coming from Mississippi where everything is about half the price of things hear in the Atlanta metro area, my mind was not quite ready for the what little bang my buck was making. However, this is just one more lesson in my adult life and will learn accordingly. We will be able to get the apt. that we liked the best it will just take a little time and saving. I am claiming this and I know it will work out. My job is going well so that is of course the first step in making some money.

On a very different note, I have recently become a follower of the blogger Mop Top Maven and she is my new inspiration for my hair journey. She and Corinne Bailey Ray have the natural hair pattern that I hope to have if and when I were to go natural.  They have such beautiful hair and I hope that I would be able to embrace my own natural texture. I have been dabbling with the idea of transitioning to natural but I would not do a BC (big chop), I would just take out my relaxed texture in increments. I have had relaxed hair since about the 4th grade and since that time hair has been extremely damaged, thin, and fragile. I have tried countless hair styles and cuts from a wave nouveau (similar to a jheri curl) to countless braided styles. As some of you know I began my hair journey in October of this year and I have noticed many improvements like strength, shine and, less breakage. I have only been on the journey about 7 weeks but I have had almost an inch of growth which tells me my countless hours pouring over hairlista.com and other hair care sites is working. I have learned so much about healthy hair care and since watching MopTop's vids on YouTube I have also learned some new skin care tips that I am excited to try. Acne blemishes and breakouts have always bothered me and I really wanting to try OCM (oil cleansing method). My only problem is that I can't seem to find anywhere nearby that sells essential oils or even basic oils such as castor oil. I really don't want to order offline because of the wait and the extra cost of shipping but that may be what I have to do.

Anyways, that's all for now.
